About the database

In collaboration with UNHCR the Information Network Asylum and Migration has established an online database in order to strengthen the counseling structures in Germany. On this website users can apply the systematic search to find the appropriate advice centre for refugees and migrants. Thereby the website facilitates access to counseling and allows for precise search results.

This database is only an information resource. Inclusion of an advice centre in the database is no indication as to the quality of the advice services at the respective centre. We assume no responsibility and liability for completeness and up-to-dateness of data or for damages which result from the use of our information services.

How can I search?

You can use any of the given search fields for your search. Naturally you may combine any number of search fields with each other in order to refine you search results.

Search for postal code:

Please enter 1 to 5 digits here. Entering fewer digits allows you to search for regions instead of the smaller postal code districts. For example: a search with the digits “26” will find all counseling centers, whose postal code begins with these digits (Region East Frisia (Ostfriesland), Oldenburg). By entering one further digit (“261”) you can limit the search to a city, a district within a city or a rural district.

Search for counseling topics and languages:

Limiting the search by using further search fields allows you to specifically search for certain topics offered or languages spoken at the respective counseling centers. Please take note of the detailed information the individual counseling centers provide. It might be possible, for instance, that a translator for a certain language is only available upon individual arrangement.

Please also note that in these categories we have included topics and languages indicated to us by the counseling centers. It is possible that the information was not provided fully by all the counseling centers. If in doubt, please contact the counseling centers individually.
